Who are the Lost Cuzzins?

Known for their great harmonies & humor

Originals plus a wide variety of covers                                            Folk/Folk Rock/Americana/Classic Rock

The Lost Cuzzins are 4 like-minded musicians, both in music and humor, who love to play and jam. The result is a band that combines their different interests, including folk, classic rock, country, newgrass and folk-rock. Add a bit of their humor and you get a lively entertainment package.  THE CUZZINS music is a mixed-bag including many originals that range from thoughtful to funny, comtemplative to rousing.  Some examples are Jim's "Moment of Grace", Ron's "Lack of Motivation Blues" and Dean's rousing Cajun number "Sahtday Naht".  Harmonies are a strong point of the group, including several acapella numbers.

Band Interests:

Collaborating, performing and recording with other musicians....Festival and outdoor performances....Audience involvement at concerts....Introducing our original music to audiences....Working out tight harmonies.

A Little History:

The seeds of the band were planted in July of 2004 when Dean Barnett emailed Jim Williams to work on a musical project.  Jim invited Ron McPhail & Kent Krueger to help out, one song led to another.... and THE LOST CUZZINS was born.

The influences are as varied as the band members themselves: CSN, Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, Townes VanZandt, Seldom Scene, Bruce Cockburn, Tom Russell, James Keelaghan, Stan Rogers, Norman Blake, classic rock, blues, country, bluegrass, folk, Americana...and many others!
